LL.M. in Digital Economic Legal Expert
Purpose of the LL.M. programme:
The purpose of the postgraduate specialist LL.M. programme of Digital Economic Legal Expert is to guide participants through the most current legal and regulatory issues in the digital economy, providing a systematic overview of the most important legal aspects of the digital economy. Graduates will be equipped with the tools to deal with the legislative challenges posed by these technologies and to address the legal issues raised by cutting-edge technologies.
Duration and form of the programme:
The duration of the training programme is 3 semesters, starting in the autumn semester.
This is a part-time, correspondance training, classes are held afternoon on Fridays and on Saturdays.
A qualification that can be obtained after completing the training: Digital Economy Lawyer
Pursuant to Article 116(6) of Act CCIV of 2011 on National Higher Education, graduates of the postgraduate course are entitled to use the title "Legum Magister" or "Master of Laws" (abbreviated as LL.M.).
Model Curriculum for LL.M. in Digital Economic Legal Expert
Tuition fee:
Tuition fee in the 1st and 2nd semester: EUR 1.500 /semester.
Tuition fee in the 3rd semester: EUR 500 /semester.
The employer may undertake the payment of the tuition fee.
To whom we recommend the training:
The training is open to all law graduates interested in the main legal aspects of the digital economy.
Professional content of the training programme:
During the training, students will acquire the following professional competences:
● knowledge of the data protection aspects of certain technologies, the connections between technologies and specific areas of law,
● the ability of recognising the legal problems specific to the digital economy and acquiring the legal responses to them,
● strives to make decisions in full compliance with the law and ethical standards even in unexpected decision-making situations requiring complex approach.
Conditions of admission:
a master’s degree in law and
at least intermediate (B2) level, complex, state-recognised language examination in a foreign language, or an equivalent school-leaving certificate or diploma.
During the training programme, students can earn credits related to the fields of knowledge that are relevant to the qualification and to the main fields of knowledge:
● Basic knowledge: 25 credits (Data protection; Technology regulation; Impact of technologies on legal services; Electronic commerce law; Media law; Electronic communications law; Robot law).
● Specialised knowledge: 35 credits (Data protection aspects of certain technologies (in particular blockchain, big data, IoT, cloud); The relationship between technologies and competition law; The relationship between technologies and labour law; Legal aspects of the platform economy (online content portability, geoblocking, sharing economy, video sharing; e-commerce legal aspects, B2B fair contract terms, B2C consumer protection); Legal aspects of transport automation; Freedom of cyberspace (freedom of speech in the online space, filter bubble, fake news, net neutrality); Cybercrime; Cybersecurity).
Credit value of the thesis consultation: 30 credits.

● a copy of the diploma (the original diploma must be presented at the time of enrolment). In the case of a degree from a foreign higher education institution, a certified Hungarian translation of the diploma must be attached. The recognition procedure for the purpose of further studies is carried out by the University based on Act C of 2011 on the Recognition of Foreign Certificates and Diplomas,

● a copy of the passport,
● a copy of your language exam certificate (the original language exam certificate must be presented at the time of enrolment),
